Quotable Quotes:

Quotes for your enjoyment

"It is in humiliation that saints are discovered, in which it is made known whether they are gold or lead. Such a one has been counted a saint; but when he receives an injury from another, he is all in an agitation; he complains of it to every one; he says he will make him repent of it. This is a sign of what he is; it is a sign that he is lead. The Lord said, In thy humility have patience. The proud man, whatever humiliation he receives, considers it a great injustice, and, therefore, cannot endure it; but the humble man, accounting himself deserving of every evil treatment, suffers all with patience. Let him who has committed a mortal sin cast a glance upon the hell that he has deserved, and thus he will suffer with patience every contempt and every pain."

-St. Alphonsus Liguori, The Way of Salvation and Perfection, p. 238

"It is quaint that people talk of separating dogma from education. Dogma is actually the only thing that cannot be separated from education. It is education. A teacher who is not dogmatic is simply a teacher who is not
teaching."

-G.K. Chesterton

Every Sunday in May we crowned   our  Blessed Mother. The children  brought up flowers to place at Our  Lady's shrine.

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

This summer has been an eventful one for the parish. The month of May is gone with the beautiful May crownings. June began with the impressive ceremonies for the feast of Corpus Christi which are transferred to the following Sunday in the U.S.

The weather cooperated wonderfully while we processed around the NTC Promenade. May this public profession of our faith in the Real Presence draw down many blessings from our Eucharistic King.

Also during June the families of the parish joined with families of Our Lady of Lourdes in Fontana to inaugurate the monthly family Night Adoration. This is a devotion started by Fr. Matteo in the early 1900's. Each family chooses one night every month to make a Holy Hour in reparation to the Sacred Heart. It is a consolation to know that nearly every night of the month one family of the parish is spending an hour making reparation for the sins which so grieve the Sacred Heart. Many graces are sure to come from this devotion.

On July 10th  we had a rosary walk in the park to pray for our country and for an end to abortion. God willing, this will continue every month. The next walk is planned for Sunday, August 22, the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Details will be posted on our website.
